How to come out of a contract

We have a 5 year contract for a photocopier/printer that we are hiring, but our business can't afford it at all now. Our first contract was from 2004-2009, but in 2007 they already came and renewed the contract from 2009-2012. So it ended September last year, but just went on automatically. We are really struggling to pay this R3500 per month and I don't know how we can get out of this contract.

It is difficult to advise you properly without having sight of the agreement. It could well be that there is an automatic renewal clause in the agreement, unless you terminate from your side. Best would be to get hold of a copy of the agreement and see an attorney who will be able to advise you properly.
