What is the maximum amount that can be claimed in the small claims court?

The maximum amount that can be claimed in the Small Claims Court was published under GNR.313 of 12 March 2004 in Government Gazette No. 26113. In terms of GNR.313, the amount that may be claimed in the Small Claims Court may not exceed R 7000, 00 (seven thousand rand).
